First remove the -1.3 from the parentheses and it would look like this: 5.6 - 1.3 then subtract to get your 4.3

Add the  two numbers together to get your -2.8

Remove the parentheses so your equation looks like this: 7.15- 12.76 then subtract them to get your -5.61
