hey there, my teacher didn't explain how to find the "excluded values," and i don't know what they are. me out with these problems and show me how it works.

The excluded values are the values that the variable cannot take on because it makes the overall expression undefined.

For example, we can't have in the expression because is undefined.

For both of these problems you do the same sort of thing, with some factorization along the way:
