Have the
look below
the diagram below models the layout at a carnival where g, r, p, c, b, and e are various locations on the grounds. grpc is a parallelogram
a. identify a pair of similar triangles
b. explain how you know the triangles from part a are similar
c. find the distance from b to e and from p to e. show your work
answers:
the parallelogram gives you some information about the angles in the figure. for instance, knowing that it's a parallelogram tells you that cg and er are parallel. this allows you to use alternate interior angles to say angle c is congruent to angle bpe. you could then have used vertical angles to show that gbc and pbe are congruent. the aa postulate then tells you that triangle cbg and pbe are similar. this would have let you use proportions to solve for the missing side.

30 in the diagram line e and made parallel to each other and line p and q are transversal. use properties of special angles formed by parallel lines and their transversals to find the missing angle measures. m< 3=65 m< 15=120 m< 7= m< 4= m< 6= m< 1= m< 16= m< 18= m< 21= m< 10= m< 11= m< 12=
