What is velocity and what's it's formula

(If you watched Despicable me, it would actually tell you the definition- quite cute!)

When knowing what velocity is I ask that you be careful, because a LOT of people confuse velocity with speed. But here is the difference.

speed: How fast something or someone is going
Velocity: how fast something or someone is going WITH direction.

i.e. 

Speed- A car goes 150 mph

Velocity- a car goes 150mph Northwest

the formula for Velocity is:

Velocity = distance / time or V = D/T

Velocity is the speed with direction and it shows how many kilometers or meters (or other kind of counting the distance) something has run/swam/driven and etc. in some time (in minutes or seconds usually) and in what direction. V - velocity, forrmulas are V = S/t, S - distance, t - time. E(kin.) = mV²/2, so 2E(kin.)/m = V² and so V = √(2E(kin.)/m), where m is mass, E(kin.) is E(kinetic). You also should remember that velocity is a vector and it is't always bad when you get the it less or equal to 0 as the -0"-" or the "+" shows the direction!
