2/3=x/(3x+y)
least common multiple: 3(3x+y)
2(3x+y)=3x
6x+2y=3x
6x-3x=-2y
3x=-2y
x=-2y/3

Therefore: ratio of x to y  =  x/y=(-2y/3) / y=-2/3
