To determine the quotient of 513 and 27 using the area model, we assume to have a rectangle with a total area of 513, and one of the sides of this rectangle is 27 (as seen in part 1)

The area model, consist on dividing that big rectangle, into smaller rectangles that are simpler to divide. In this case for example, we could take one rectangle which length is 270 (270/27=10), and the other rectangle with the rest (143), as seen in part 2.
