If he scores exactly 17 points each round, then after 34 rounds he has 578 points.  That's close, but not quite enough.  He has to play one more round.

All together . . . 35 rounds.  Then he has  595 points.  He beat his old score, so he can quit now and go do his math homework.  He has become a true Victor !

17x34= 578 17x35= 595 So 35 rounds
