In a triangle, each exterior angle has 2 interior remote angles. Those interior angles are inside the triangle and opposite from the exterior angle. The measure of an exterior angle ( in this case ∠5 ) is equal to the sum of the measures of two remote interior angles ( ∠ 2 and ∠ 3 ).
