Kitchen Organization with Equations
Katrina is planning a kitchen remodel for her restaurant. She has 50 ft of horizontal wall space for upper
cabinets to be installed.
She has two options for kitchen cabinets:
• Option 1: Cabinets are 2ft wide by 3ft tall
• Option 2: Cabinets are 5ft wide by 1ft tall
There needs to be a lft gap on each end of the cabinets to place other kitchen Items.
Which of the cabinet options maximize her space without leaving any room leftover and how many
cabinets would it take to do that?
