AVRAGE TIME TO PADDLE
You are planning on attending the west side mountain bike series event. You own a standard bike and a mountain bike. It takes you about 1 second to paddle the standard bike to one full rotation and 0.8 second to paddle the mountain bike to one full rotation.
Given:
Radius of the wheel of standard bike:
Radius of the wheel of mountain bike:
Time it takes to paddle the standard bike (one full rotations):
Time it takes to paddle the mountain bike (one full rotation):
Length of the track:

1. How much distance in inches will the standard bike cover in one full rotation?
Also convert this distance into feet.

2. How much distance in inches will the mountain bike cover in one full rotation? Also convert this distance into feet.

3. How many times will you need to paddle (full rotation) the standard bike from start to finish? In another word, how many times do you need to rotate the wheel from start to finish line?

4. How many times will you need to paddle the mountain bike (full rotation) from start to finish?

5. Which bike will be get you to the finish line faster?
