3(t+5)+(4t+2)=8
i am confused about the problem in general the website before this did the problem different then i was tought and my teacher is really confusing

First use distributive property on -3(t+5), which would be -3t minus -15.

Then, add all like terms: -3t-15+4t+2 ---> -3t+4t+2-15 --> t-13.

t-13=8, add 13 to both sides. This cancels the -13 and makes 8 to 21.

Therefore, t=21

-3t-15+4t+2=8
t-13=8
t-13+13=8+13
t=21

Period is the time it takes for one “cycle” to complete. in the parent sine function, period is 2*pi since sin(0) = 0, sin(pi/2) = 1, sin(pi) = 0, sin(3pi/2) = -1, and sin(2pi) = 0. at that point, the sequence repeats itself. i’m not sure if your graph is similar to the sine function since you didn’t provide a picture, but you can find the period by looking at a graph.
