So this question was asked:

A vase in the shape of a cube measures 8 Inches on each side. The vase is half full with water. How many cubic inches of water are in the vase?

Then, what would be the volume if the vase was only 1/2 full? Do you divide the total volume by 2 or do you find the volume of a 4 x 4 x 4 cubic vase? I keep confusing myself and going back and forth.
