A study of the effects of exercise used rats bred to have high or low capacity for exercise. the 8 high rats had mean blood pressure of 89 mm hg and standard deviaiton 9 mm hg. the 8 low capacity rats had mean blood pressure 105 mm hg with standard deviation 13 mm hg . what is the value of the two sample t statistic for comparing the two population means. we suspect that the rats with low capacity for exerise tend to have a higher blood pressure than rats with a high capacity for exercise, to see fi this is true test these hypotheses for the mean bloodp ressure of all rats for rats with high capacity and all rats with low capacity for exercise:
