As she is sitting outside and enjoying the sunset, Cassidy wants to estimate how long her shadow is. She knows that she is 5.7 feet tall, but she doesn’t have any tools with her. She does remember the trick at right for approximating angles on the horizon. She measures the angle from her eye level to the sun as 25°. Knowing that the angle she’s looking up is the same as the angle at the ground is 65°, she thinks she has everything she needs to find the length of her shadow! Help Cassidy find the length of her shadow.
