The average height of an NBA player is 79 inches. You want to know if NCAA
basketball players are as tall on average. The standard deviation of NCAA
players is estimated to be 11.5 inches based on a previous study. You plan on
randomly selecting players throughout one season and measuring their height.
You need to include enough players so you will have a power of 85% power to
detect a mean height as low as 78 inches or as high as 80 inches. A two-sided
test conducted at the a=0.01 significance level will be used. How many players
should be included in the study?

A 45
B 42
C 44
D 40
