If you are muliplying exponents with the same base, then u simple add the exponents and keep the base [2^(1/2) x 2^(3/4)]^2 = [2^(5/4)]^2 which is simply the 4th root of x^5 all of it squared. The power of a power you just muliply so 5/4 x 2 = 5/2. Your answer is b.
