Tim is trying to save up enough money to buy a scooter. The scooter that Tim wants is on sale for $45.00, but the sale only goes until the end of the month. At the end of the month, the price of the scooter will increase to $55.00. Tim has decided that he will mow lawns in his neighborhood to earn enough money. He wants his neighbors to hire him instead of the other boys in the neighborhood, so he decides to only charge $6.75 per lawn. Tim also has to pay for the gas in his parents’ lawnmower. He has figured out that it will cost him $0.15 per lawn for gas. (Remember, Tim must mow a whole lawn to get paid.) PLS show your work

Does the function satisfy the hypotheses of the mean value theorem on the given interval? f(x) = 4x^2 + 3x + 4, [−1, 1] no, f is continuous on [−1, 1] but not differentiable on (−1, 1). no, f is not continuous on [−1, 1]. yes, f is continuous on [−1, 1] and differentiable on (−1, 1) since polynomials are continuous and differentiable on . there is not enough information to verify if this function satisfies the mean value theorem. yes, it does not matter if f is continuous or differentiable; every function satisfies the mean value theorem.
