rate = 10^ ((log (1,100,000 / 800,000) / 6 years) -1

rate = 10 ^ ((log 1.375) /6)

rate = 10 ^ (0.13830269817 / 6) -1

rate = 10 ^ (0.0230504497 )  -1

rate = 1.0545093861   -1

rate = .0545093861  or 5.45093861  per cent

We can double-check this by this formula

(1 + rate) ^ years

(1.0545093861 ) ^ 6 should equal 1,100,000 / 800,000 (1.375)

and it does.
