The solid formed by the curves x=0,x=3,y=0, and 1/√(x+1) is rotated about the x axis and divided into two solids of equal volume by a plane perpendicular to the x-axis. Find the x-value where the plane intersects the x-axis. Mkay so, this is what I have so far:

The area of the region is 2

The volume of the region when rotated around the x-axis is 2ln(2)π

I can't figure out the last part, every time I try, I get x=-5 and x=3, neither of which cut the shape at all.

Edit: Oh wait. I forgot to divide the volume in two. Lemme try that.

Edit 2: I got x=1. Is that correct?
