A farmer collected the eggs from his hens in the morning and sorted them into cartons. Each carton holds 12 eggs. After filling 4 cartons, the farmer had 11 eggs left. How many eggs did the farmer initially collect?

Answer 59 eggs
Now we know that each bag can have a maximum of 12 eggs and he has already filled 4 of them 4*12 = 48 eggs. And then he was left with 11 eggs so 48+11=59
