Which system represents the problem?
Click on the correct answer.
The staff at Aretha's Furniture built 60
chairs and stools in one day. It takes one
person 3 hours to produce a chair and
Zhours to build a stool. How many of
each were made if the staff of 12 people
worked 8 hours each?
x + y = 60; 2x + 3y = 12
x + y = 96; 2x + 3y = 60
You can use a system of equations to find
the answer. Let x = the number of chairs,
and y = the number of stools.
x + y = 60; 3x + 2y = 12
x + y = 60; 3x + 2y = 96
