In the following graph, ∆ABC is congruent to ∆A’B’C’. A teacher asks Janine to state the translation rule for this transformation. She focuses on point C’ and states that “the translation rule is

(x, y)→(x-2, y-6)

In other words, to shift from the blue to the red triangle, you must shift each point two units to the left and six units down.

Janine made an error.

Using the diagram or the corrected notation, identify the correct coordinate for C’. Write the answer as an (x ,y) coordinate AND write the translation rule using correct notation for full credit.
