Can Someone please let me know if I got his question right!!!
A system of linear equations is shown below as well as the first step that Raif is using to solve this system of linear equations by substitution. Choose the best statement that best describes how Raif is progressing towards a solution.
7x+y=4
3x-2y=3
Solution: solve the first equation to obtain y=-7x+4. Substitute this into the second equation to get 3x-2*-7x+4=3
1. Raif should have substituted for x in the second equation
2. Rafi substituted the wrong equation and should have done the first equation
3. Rafi needs to simplify the expression
4. Rafi forgot to place the substituted expression in parentheses
I think it 1 but I’m not sure
