How to solve (without a calculator!):

We have three numbers, √7 ; 2; (√8)/2 

(√8)/2 = [√4*√2] / 2 =[2*√2] / 2 > The "2's cancel out, which leaves us with "√2" 

So, (√8)/2 = √2;

So, we rewrite our three numbers:

√7 ; 2; √2 

Obviously, 2 is going to be greater √2
If the "2" is equal to "√4", then we know that "√7" will be greater than "2".

So from least to greatest:
√2, 2, √7 ;  Yet, we shall rewrite "√2" as its original notation: "(√8)/2" :

So from least to greatest:

(√8)/2; 2; √7 ;
