Hi,
I have a question about the following assignment: Drink B contains 80milligrams of caffeine per 150 ml serving. Approximately how many milligrams of caffeine per gram of sugar does it contain?
In the original assignment, there is a table, so please let me share the information from the table with you:
Title of table: Drink B Calories and sugar per 240 ml serving
Calories: 140
Sugar (g): 32
The suggested answer is: (80*240) / 150 = 128, thus Drink B has 128 mg of caffeine per 240 ml. 128 / 32 = 4, thus it contains 4 g of caffeine per gram of sugar.
I dont understand why we calculate 80mg * 240ml as there are 80 mg per 150 ml so it seems like we are mixing "apples and oranges".
Could you please explain this logic or propose an alternative way to calculate this?
Thank you so much.
