This problem is a dog of a bear because of the units.

It tells us how many ounces are in a jar, but how many cups are in a serving.

So in order to figure out how many servings are in a jar, we have to either change the jar from ounces to cups, or else change the serving from cups to ounces.

And of course, in order to do either of those things, we need to know how many ounces make 1 cup !  Hint:  1 cup = 8 ounces .

AND PLUS trying to work with all the fractions is gonna be ridiculous too.

Jar-A: (24 1/2 ounces) / (8 ounces/cup)  =  3 1/16 cups

How many servings is that ?

(3 1/16 cups) / (2/3 cup/serving) = 4 19/32 servings

Jar-B:  (30 2/3 ounces) / (8 ounces/cup)  =  3 5/6 cups  

How many servings is that ?

(3 5/6 cups) / (3/4 cup/serving)  =  5 1/9 servings

(5 1/9) is more than (4 19/32).  So Jar-B provides more servings than Jar-A.

Note:  Both brands are great for people who are on a diet, because they have to work off so many calories working out the stupid fractions, and it takes so long that they never get around to eating the applesauce.
