(b) The population of Fairview was 25,000 in 1962 and tripled in 7 years. Assuming that the population grew exponentially with constant annual percent increase r, what was the annual percent increase in the population? (Round the answer to the nearest hundredth of a percent.)

(c) If a population triples in 7 years, does the percent increase depend on the size of the original population? No Yes
