1.To find the parallel line, the slope would be exactly same with y=x-4 which is y=x. So the form of this would be y=x+b. Now we have to solve for b. If we put the points in here, 3=-2+b b=5, so the equation would be y=x+5

2. To find the perpendicular line, the slope would be -1/m. So the slope of the equation would be -1/2x so the form would be y=-1/2x+b. If we put the points in here, it would be 3=-1/2(-5)+b 3=2.5+b b=1/2 So the equation would be y=-1/2x+1/2
