May someone please explain this graph to me?

the two points that are colored are where the line hits an exact point. the equation is in slope intercept form so the intercept would be 3. an y intercept is when the line doesn't come from the origin, (0,0). the -2 is the slope and depending on if it negative or positive it will decided if the line goes up of down. because it is negative is going down. a point for the equation would be (1,1). in order to figure out what point it is you would have to go down two and to the right 1. hope this explains it well enough!
