How do I do linear functions?

I don’t know exactly what you want to do with linear functions but in order to have a good understanding of linear functions you must make sure you understand what a regular function is.

A function is a relation for which each value from the set the first components of the ordered pairs is associated with exactly one value from the set of second components of the ordered pair.

Linear functions are those whose graph is a straight line. A linear function has the following form. y = f(x) = a + bx. A linear function has one independent variable and one dependent variable. The independent variable is x and the dependent variable is y.
