Combine same variables
So in this case add 3 on both sides for x
Ur left with
5=x+4
subtract 4 on both sides
Your left with
x=1 which is the same thing as saying x

For letter E:
x+6=5+x
Combine same variables
In this case x
So subtract 1 on both sides
Ur left with
c+6=5
Subtract 6 on both sides

x= -1 Which is the same thing as saying -x
