is parallel to BC. You must show all work to receive credit.

The parallel sides are BC and EF. Using rise over run, we can see that the slope of both of these is -1.

To put into the form y=mx+b, we also need the y intercept. One way to find this is just continue drawing the line EF, following the pattern rise 1, run -1. This shows that the y intercept is 8.
