This kind of calculator gives me complete control over the way the calculation is done, so no parentheses are needed. (The number 239 simply waits for the ÷ operation.)

Some "algebraic" calculators do not conform to the Order of Operations, and some do not have enough memory for pending operations. The manual doesn't always point out the limitations.

I like the G.oogle calculator because it is guaranteed to conform to the Order of Operations. That requires you to know where to use parentheses. Its final display always uses parentheses to show exactly how it did the computation.
