4. A group of 12 friends were discussing the various places they had visited. 2 had been to America but not Italy. 4 had been to Italy but
not America. The number of people who had been to both
countries was twice the number of people who had been to neither.
a) Illustrate this information in a Venn diagram.
b) What is the probability that a randomly selected member of the
group
i) had been to Italy and America
ii) had been to Italy
iii) had not been to Italy?
