In order to solve a system of equations using elimination, you will have two equations, for example, 2x+3y=15 and x-3y=3, and for elimination, you want to find two similar terms that can be multiplied to be the same term, so 3y and -3y. YOU WILL NEED ONE TO BE POSITIVE AND ONE TO BE NEGATIVE, so you may have to multiply with a negative to get that. After you have the same terms, with different signs, you will solve, and because one is positive and one is negative, they will cancel out. The work is down below.
