I think the answer would be 22.75. Since it gives you the price of a pizza with no toppings, then this is your base price. You subtract 14 from 17.50, and then divide the answer by 2 to find out how much each topping costs. (17.50-14= 3.5 /2 = 1.75. The function y= 1.75x+14  describes the situation. y= 1.75(5) +14    y= 22.75
