Question: Ok so when you ask a question it looks like the picture i attached. I wanted to know if when i put points does it take away the points from me? 20 points so basically free points just try and answer.

When you put a point value on your question it does take the points from you. That's the way functions. If you want to have your questions answered you have to answer questions in order to gain points to ask your questions, because every question you ask takes points from you and gives the points to the person who answered said question.
