There are a total of 120 books on Miss. Smith's bookshelf. If I have read 30% of them, how many books have I read?
The answer is 36 books.

This is the situation Noah Wrote:
All of the sixth graders were asked who their favorite teacher was. Thirty percent of them answered Mr. Nelson. If that means 120 students said that Mr. Nelson is their favorite teacher, how many total sixth graders are there?
The answer is 400 total sixth graders.
