An infamous bank robber named Sticky Fingers has found his way to New York City! He has been robbing banks in all five boroughs, and you, as chief of police, have had enough.
This lammister* must be caught -
You are sitting in your police car in lower Manhattan when suddenly you hear over the radio,
"Robbery reported at Williams burgh Savings Bank! Sticky Fingers has been spotted fleeing
the scene in a blue getaway car-heading north. Estimated speed is half a mile per minute!”
"I've GOT him!”, you shout, as you throw on your siren (and seatbelt), and speed north to
intercept the criminal. You are 12 miles behind Sticky, but can travel faster in a police car
than he can, at a rate of P4 mile per minute. “There's only one way Sticky can escape me!”,
you shout with glee. “The Tappan Zee Bridge is Fingers' only out, which is 26 miles from
here!”
It's going to be a close call, you realize, as you start doing some mental calculations while
weaving madly through rush hour traffic.
Where and when exactly will you catch up to Sticky Fingers? Will he make it to the bridge
before
you make it to him??
