OMG PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE I AM SO CONFUSED AND MY TEACHER DOESN"T COMMUNICATE WITH ME PLEASE HELP ASAP Last year, Ali learned how to sew. This year, they want to make masks--both child and adult masks--to help their community. Ali knows that they will need to get tight weave cotton for fabric and elastic to make the masks.

For an adult mask, they need an 18” x 6” rectangle of fabric (they will later fold this in half to make a double layer mask of 9” x 6”). For a child mask, they need a 15” x 6” rectangle of fabric. Ali was given 1 yard x 42” of fabric that he cuts into 6” strips.

For elastic, Ali needs 14” of the elastic for each adult mask (they will cut this in half to make two ear pieces), and a 12” piece of elastic for each child mask. Ali bought 5.5 yards of elastic.

Ali also knows there are more adults than children in their community, so they want to be sure the number of adult masks they make is at least double the amount of child masks.

Our Problem: Ali is trying to figure out how many of each kind of mask they can make. They want to make as many masks as possible to help their community.

Step 2: Making Sense of the Situation
We have a lot of numbers--and different units. How can we make them easier to compare and understand?
How can we organize the information so it is simpler to understand?

Step 3: Some Possible Solutions
What are some possible solutions for how many adult and child masks Ali can make? Be sure to show how much of each material you use.
