1- You are a grade 8 teacher, your lesson for next week is “Functions”. Make a comparison chart to help you explain and compare the following topics to your students. Relations as ordered pairs, mapping diagrams, and graphs
 Functions as ordered pairs, mapping diagrams, and graphs. Functions should then be separated into 2 categories:

• Linear functions: linear functions with positive slopes and linear functions with negative slopes

• Non-Linear Functions

For each of the topics above (bolded), you should include a definition, and illustration/representation of the concept, and an example.

2- Choose one example where functions are used in real-life (vending machine, coffee machine, ATM machine…) and illustrate it.

Your illustration must include:

 The inputs of the function (what enters the machine)
 A clear drawing of the function machine
 The outputs of the function (what comes out of the machine)

Then explain how your machine works and why it represents a function.
