In a soccer game, sending the goalie up on a corner kick sometimes results in a goal and gives the team a one man advantage. Assume soccer teams do this about 20% of the time. Of the times that teams send a goalie up, 30% result in that team scoring in the next 40 seconds of the game. On the other hand, 10% of the times that teams do not send a goalie up for a corner kick results in that team scoring in the next 40 seconds of the game. A sports statistician wants to know the probability of a team sending a goalie up and scoring within 40 seconds. What is this probability?
