The resistor is not changed as the light varies. Calculate the power throughout the day by summing the power provided at each hour be- tween 6 am and 6 pm. There are two configurations to examine. a) The solar cell is directly connected to R, and the operating point is determined by the load line for R. Find the sum of the power produced at each hour.
b) Using power electronics the operating point is set at the maximum power point. Equiv- alently, remove the load and find the sum of the powers at each MPPT throughout the day.
c) What is the percent difference between the two totals.
