Energized and Powercell are companies that manufacture alkaline batteries. Both companies claim that their batteries last longer than the average alkaline battery
Anju decided to conduct a test to see whether their claims were true. He purchased 30 Energized batteries, 30 Powercell batteries, and batteries
of other brands to conduct the test. The purchase selection was random, and the test was unbiased. The batteries that lasted longer than the
average of all the batteries were stated to have passed the test. The batteries that did not last as long as the average of all the batteries were
stated to have failed the test. The results for Energized and Powercell are displayed in this table.

What can be concluded from the results of Anju's test?
OA
The Energized company's claim is true because a greater number of Energized batteries passed the test.
OB
Both manufacturers' claims are true because most of their batteries lasted longer than the average alkaline battery
OC.
Powercell's claim is false because fewer of its batteries passed the test than Energized batteries.
OD
Both manufacturers' claims are false because some of their batteries failed the test.

Does the function satisfy the hypotheses of the mean value theorem on the given interval? f(x) = 4x^2 + 3x + 4, [−1, 1] no, f is continuous on [−1, 1] but not differentiable on (−1, 1). no, f is not continuous on [−1, 1]. yes, f is continuous on [−1, 1] and differentiable on (−1, 1) since polynomials are continuous and differentiable on . there is not enough information to verify if this function satisfies the mean value theorem. yes, it does not matter if f is continuous or differentiable; every function satisfies the mean value theorem.
