Kelly Shane remembered she promised her school organization she would make some pies and pastries for the bake sale tomorrow. Unfortunately, Kelly needs to submit a paper and she does not have time to buy the ingredients and bake the items. Kelly plans to bake them in the morning before the bake sale and she has only 3 hours to bake the goodies. However, pies and pastries require different baking times and she cannot bake them all at the same time. She needs 45 minutes to bake the pies and 30 minutes to bake the pastries. Kelly checked her pantry and found out that she has 20 cups of flour. The pies require 3 cups of four and the pastries require 8 cups. Her organization would like to sell the pies for $10 and the pastries for $6. Kelly needs to decide how many pies and pastries to make.
