After watching the Khan Academy video, pick two of these concepts to explain.
You must:
Restate key words from the question. (1 point) (hint: do not use the word “it” to start a sentence)
Identify the term or concept. (1point)
Explain a connection or idea using at least two sentences. (2 points)
Give an example. (1 point)
Example:
The term “reciprocal” is familiar. I remember in 6th grade that when we were dividing fractions,
we were taught to use “copy, dot, flip flop”. Then, when we got to 7th grade, we learned that the
same process is called multiplying by the reciprocal. This means that the reciprocal of the
number 3 is ⅓. This works because 3/1 multiplied by ⅓ equals 1.
Ex: ¼ divided by ⅔
¼ * 3/2 = 3/8
3/2 is the reciprocal of 2/3
