The angles you have to find are vertical angles to the equations that are given. a vertical angle is an angle that is directly across from another.

angle 1 is equal to 4x+10

angle 2 is equal to 8x-25

since this is a transversal,

4x+10=8x-25

then just solve for x.

x= 8.75

then substitute 8.75 wherever you see x.

4(8.75)+10 = 45
8(8.75)-25= 45

going back to the vertical angle rule, both angle 1 and 2 are equal to 45°
