Your parents have created a garden in their backyard. They are giving you a section to plant whatever you want.
You would like to plant apple and pear trees in your
section.
They have given you 25 feet of space along the fence to
use in the garden and $50 to get started. You go to
Lowes and find out that each Apple tree requires 2 feet of
space and each Pear tree requires 4 feet of space. It cost
$5 for each Apple tree and $7.50 for each Pear tree.
You plan to sell apples and pears to your neighbors once
the trees begin to produce the fruit. You think you can
make $2.50 a week for each apple tree and $4 a week for
each pear tree.
