#5 i cant see but #6 is y=3÷5x-17÷5 #9 is 1÷4x+3

There are a few ways to find the slope. One way is to put the equation in y = mx + b form...and m is ur slope.

2x + y = 5subtract 2x from both sides
2x - 2x + y = -2x + 5...simplify
y = -2x + 5 (this is y = mx + b form, the number in the m position is -2...so this equation has a slope of -2.

However, u are wanting 2 points and the slope formula...
so u pick any number for x and solve for y to find ur points.
2x + y = 5
lets say x = 0
2(0) + y = 5
y = 5so when x = 0, y = 5..(0,5).

now lets say x = 1
2(1) + y = 5
2 + y = 5
y = 5 - 2
y = 3...so when x = 1, y = 3(1,3)

now we use the slope formula : slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
ur 2 sets of points : 
set 1 (0,5)so x1 = 0 and y1 = 5
set 2 (1,3)...so x2 = 1 and y2 = 3
now we sub into the slope formula
slope = (3 - 5) / (1 - 0) = -2/1 or just -2
so the slope is -2

either way u will get the same answer..it is just shorter to do the y = mx + b way...but I guess u have to do it the way u r told. Yo would do it the same way on all these problems u r having trouble with.

The answer is 1 because you have to flip the sign when dividing by negative number and 3
