She still has 2/3rd to go so she has ran 1/3.

Therefore for every 1/3 of the trail equal 1 1/2 mile.

so 1/3 + 1/3 +1 /3 equal the whole trail

then 1 1/2 + 1 1/2 +1 1/2= 4 1/2 miles

The trail is 4.5 or 4 1/2 miles long
